Payroll Card Enrollment

NOTE: You need to make sure that both your email address and your mailing address are correct in the system.  Both of those fields can be updated by you yourself from the Employee/Manager Self-Service website.  If you have moved and have not informed your personnel office, your card will be sent to an incorrect address.  The post office will NOT forward payroll cards or payroll checks.

Self Service Enrollment Enroll through your personnel office
  1. Log into the SD Employee/Manager Self-Service website
  2. Select "Employee", then "Pay", then "Direct Deposit"
  3. Add a new direct deposit, following the screen prompts.
    • Click the "Add" button, to add a new direct deposit.
    • Click the drop down, and then search for the bank name "Payroll Card ".  Select  "Payroll Card" from the resulting list.
    • Click the checking account box and complete the appropriate amount or percentage you want to be put on the card
    • For the Account Number, simply enter the word "NEW"  (Do not put an 'account' number here, from another bank or any where else. Just put "NEW".  You will be assigned an account number when the card is issued.

DO NOT CHANGE THE ROUTING NUMBER.
DO NOT enter an account, other than "NEW"

  1. Print out THIS form
  2. Fill it out and sign it, marking that you want a certain amount of your pay to be placed on a Payroll card
  3. Return the form to your personnel representative
