for Fiscal Year 2014

Governor Daugaard's FY2014 budget recommendations will fund necessary state government services and special appropriations for the fiscal period beginning July 1, 2013, and ending June 30, 2014. His proposed budget once again heeds principles he believes are essential: ongoing revenue pays for ongoing expenses, one-time funds pay for one-time expenses, and reserve funds are used only for emergencies. Individual Department Budget Book Pages
Funding for each program is presented as general funds, federal funds, and other funds. In addition, expenditures for each program are broken down into personal services and operating expenses. Staffing levels are expressed in terms of full-time equivalent employees (one FTE = 2,080 hours worked in FY2014.)
